Bus

The most convenient way to get to Maitland GTM is either booking through one of the scheduled Charter bus companies or by using the shuttle bus network from Newcastle Interchange (Wickham), Hamilton and Broadmeadow railway stations.

INFORMATION FOR PRIVATE CHARTER BUS DROP OFF / PICK UP
If you are a private charter company or intend on chartering a bus to GTM Maitland please email the Maitland event team so that we can provide you with detailed location and access for the dedicated parking area and passenger drop off and pick up.

Car
Drop Off and Pick Up

Being dropped off at the Maitland Moo by a friend or family member?
The official public drop off and pick-up area is at Maitland Train Station. From the station it is a short walk (approx. 15 minutes) to GTM Maitland via Maitland Park.

Please note that due to traffic control restrictions, vehicles will not be permitted to drop off or pick up anywhere within the Maitland Showground precinct including Les Darcy Drive (New England Hwy). Fines may apply.

Taxi

A designated DROP OFF and PICK UP taxi rank will be in place located at the Maitland Train Station. For your own safety, please follow the directional signage and instructions from traffic controllers, security guards and police officers.

Taxi services are limited post event. GTM bus services are the quickest and cheapest way to get home after the show!

Ride Share

A designated ride share drop off and pick up zone will be in place for GTM Maitland at Maitland Train Station. For your safety, please follow the directional signage and instructions of traffic controllers, security guards and police officers.

GETTING HOME
Please be mindful that Ride Share services are very limited post event. GTM Shuttle Buses or the Train are the quickest and cheapest way to get home after the show!

Parking

GTM parking will be available from 9.00am – 11:30pm on Cultivation Road. Turn off the New England Highway into Anzac Parade then head down Cracknel Lane into Cultivation Road.

Parking will be operated by Maitland Lions Club.
Cost: $5.00

Please note this is a private property; cars must be removed on the night, strictly NO Camping.

Train

From Sydney
Sydney Trains will be running GTM SPECIAL EVENT train services from Sydney and the Central Coast to Hamilton, Broadmeadow and Newcastle Interchange (Hamilton) railway stations where ticket holders will connect with an express GTM shuttle bus service direct to GTM.

These services are VERY limited, GTM recommends getting on the GTM shuttle bus at Newcastle Interchange (Stand C), Hamilton or Broadmeadow railway stations which will take you direct to GTM
