L.A. based DJ and producer Dillon Francis is anything but boring. From his social media-filled antics with pet piñata Gerald or his alter ego persona DJ Hanzel making him a humorous, loveable internet sensation, Dillon kicked off his career releasing solo EP Swashbuckler in 2010 under label Play Me. He then went on to release EP’s through Diplo’s Mad Decent and Skrillex’s OWSLA labels.
Single “I.D.G.A.F.O.S” was released in 2011 and marked his initial breakthrough into the electronic music scene followed by “Que Que” ft. Diplo. In 2012 his single “Masta Blasta” found him switching up his style and delving into Trap music.
The 2014 release of his star studded debut album Money Sucks, Friends Rule showed a refined, matured style for Francis, featuring collaborations with the likes of The Presets, Rae Sremmurd, Martin Garrix and Major Lazer. The success of the album along with hit single ‘Get Low’ ft. DJ Snake, propelled Dillion into the world of EDM and the song currently sits at over 80 million streams on Spotify.
2015’s This Mixtape is Fire saw Dillon Francis head back to his Moombahton-infused roots, featuring tracks with Bro Safari, Chromeo, Calvin Harris, Skrillex and Kygo. “Coming Over” ft. Kygo and James Hersey topped Billboard’s dance charts the week of release. Over the course of 2016, between extensive touring, Dillon released multiple singles “Need You” ft. NGHTMARE, “Candy” ft. Snappy Jit, and “Anywhere” ft. Will Heard, heating up dancefloors over the world.
Dillon Francis is one of the most sought after DJ’s in dance music right now.
