‘Get To Know’ – Cosmo’s Midnight x Winston Surfshirt
It’s the collaboration we never knew we needed, but have always dreamed of <3
With the Cosmo’s twins favouring electro-pop danceability and Winston drifting towards soulful R&B and electronica with a dash of surf-rock, you might have wondered how these two artists would fuse, but oh man, ‘Get To Know’ is a friccccccin banger!
It’s not the first time Winston Surfshirt have dabbled in the realm of electronic music either, featuring on Polographia’s 2016 hit ‘Sly’, which had us all shaking our booties. Now add this one and you’ve got 2/2 bootie shaking collab singles, and that’s a damn good track record if you ask us!
‘Get To Know’ has already been on repeat at HQ in the few hours that it’s been online, and we’re pretty sure you’ll be doing the same when you hear it.
ALSO! If you didn’t put it together already, both artists are on the Groovin the Moo 2018 line up, so the odds of them jumping on stage with each other to play this track live are high, but what do we know? 😉

GTM 2018 Predictions!
Last year’s Groovin the Moo saw SO many epic, had-to-be-there moments at each show. From the likes of both Loyle Carner and Montaigne joining the Thundamentals boys on stage, to Vera Blue blowing away the Slumberjack crowd singing ‘Fracture’ live, not to mention George Maple guesting on ‘Something About You’ during Hayden James’ incredible show.
We’ve just scratched the surface here on the potential collaborations and surprises you could expect this year. Let’s get the predictions rolling for 2018!
Cosmo’s Midnight x Winston Surfshirt – ‘Get To Know’ LIVE
It would almost be an insult if these two acts didn’t join forces for a live version of their latest collaboration ‘Get To Know’. If you watched their ‘Get To Know’ video we posted, this one is almost certain! Get your butt to Cosmo’s set and thank us later.
Odds: Very likely – All shows
Paul Kelly x A.B.Original
After their crazy good Like A Version doing a rendition of Paul Kelly’s ‘Dumb Things’ and the three being very good friends, we can see lots of potential for something magical here!
Odds: Unlikely – But if anything Bendigo?
Mallrat x Allday
‘UFO’ is a bloody banger, and these two are the best of friends. We think seeing the two jump up on stage together may be a stretch as Allday is currently based in LA, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility by any means.
Odds: Likely – Bendigo or Townsville?
DJ YELLA x Aminé/ Lady Leshurr?
Ahh. We can dream can’t we? How good would this be though!
Odds: Highly unlikely
Vera Blue performing a ‘Lady Powers’ ballad with other GTM ladies
We have a multitude of talented ladies on our touring and local line up, from Mallrat to Tkay, Alex Lahey, Lady Leshurr & Sampa, how cool would it be so see an empowering display of ‘Lady Powers’ with potential vocal features like these?! Let’s hope these ladies do some serious bonding over the tour and surprise us with something special.
Odds: Likely – Bunbury
Tkay x Basenji ‘Mistakes’
Epic song, fitting for an epic festival! Basenji is Sydney based, so there’s potential he could get a call up for either Maitland or Canberra for a special surprise. Seeing this live would be anything but a mistake!
Odds: Likely – Maitland or Canberra
Grinspoon x Violent Soho
It’s happened before. Grinspoon’s Phil Jaimeson joined the Soho crew on stage last year in Maitland for a ripper of a Grinspoon classic with 1995’s ‘More Than You Are’. Will it happen again? After seeing how much fun Phil had last year, there is definitely potential for more fun to be had!
Odds: Unlikely but if it does happen, we’re thinking Townsville
